My innate love for drums was largely fulfilled yesterday night, when I found myself at London Astoria standing right before the stage, and witnessing the wonders this guy can do with the instrument.

The guy is Chris Hrasky, drummer of American instrumental post-rock band Explosions In The Sky.

A new huge space has opened in Paris only a few weeks ago, that promises to become a major cultural hotspot for the city, and one of the main ones in Europe.

Centquatre (104) is yet another conversion of a public space into an artistic project and boasts 26,000 m2 of art galleries, ateliers, two perfomance theatres, featuring 200 resident artists.

Start of the new year, and I was well determined not to get the January blues, not for one second. London can be exciting and interesting at any time of year.

So after the partying season, my plan for January was to take up on the vast culture/entertainment offer and get myself out there to see some nice things. So far, so good.

To start with, something I had neglected doing in the past months, and that I grabbed by the skin of my teeth (the last days were totally sold out!): the brilliant V&A exhibition The Golden Age of Couture.
